A perfect Dress: 1

A perfect Dress I was just thinking, with this imaginative mind, I, once used to write really creative blogs. This is sort of a comeback. Right now, the most fun topic I can think of is me styling a perfect outfit. It's fashion and clothing, two things I really love. I'm thinking of doing outfits for multiple occasions, one by one. 1. A classy Date Night: While my first thought is to immediately jump into a little black dress, I thought, let's play around a little, brainstorm a little more. For a tan-skinned, curvy woman like me, I think a deep ruby-shade sheath dress would be the best pick. I'm thinking of either a single-shoulder or narrow straps with a deep plunge neck.  accessories, I think, should be classy and minimal, maybe a small diamond drop earring or small hoops with a small drop stone. Either a soft diamond shade or non-shiny gold. A dainty bracelet of a similar colour, and maybe A medium-sized clutch. Avoid purses, sling bags, or small shoulder bags. With...

Vouchers: Decoding its nature, and GST implications.

Vouchers: Decoding its nature, and GST implications.   GST as we know is a consumption-based tax. Every time a supply is made, it is to be taxed. In the background of the pre-GST taxes, Indirect taxes are levied on majorly 3 events. It could be manufacture, sale, or service. It is also a common understanding that for any supply to be taxed, the subject of such supply must be either a good or a service. Now, vouchers- as we see in numerous forms and types, be it like a gift card, a discount coupon, a cashback coupon, a membership card, or anything of a similar nature, have caused quite confusion, as regards their nature. What is it? is it good? Is it a service? Is it a payment instrument like money? This article aims to break down the question and ascertain its nature, and the GST implications following it. Now the most common transaction involving the sale of vouchers is that the main supplier, i.e., the affiliates, distributes them to voucher dealers and distributor...

The Canteen Conundrum: Exploring the uncertainty around GST and employee canteens.

The Canteen conundrum: Exploring the uncertainty around GST and employee canteens.   The issue regarding GST implications on factory canteens for employees has now been a long-standing issue. It has troubled practitioners, employers, and their factory men alike. The issue is not res integra, but the numerous non-concurring opinions presented, both by experts and authorities, have kept this question indefinite, with millions of answers and opinions, although none have been sufficient to answer this question once and for all.   So, let's break down the issue, and try to reason our way to a satisfactory answer.    Firstly, what is the exact issue? To put it in a very uncomplicated way, The canteen services given to employees, either as a perquisite or under a statutory mandate, whether would amount to supply and thus subject to GST, is the issue. Sounds undeniably simple, but because of the number of opposing opinions, the mystery continues. Now...

Been a while, Old Friend!

I asked ChatGPT (I'll tell you who that is) to suggest activities to do when I'm bored to death. I also listed a few activities I enjoy doing, writing being one of them. The first suggestion was to write a blog. I didn't give my brain a chance to think twice, and immediately grabbed on to the idea, and started thinking of canvasses to spill words to. I opened Blogger, and went through the blog I published back in 2021, regarding my aversion towards Bollywood. Boy, has it been a while! Life and the world have changed SO much since then! Firstly, I'd like to introduce you to ChatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot, if I were to give the simplest description. It practically has the solution to every damn thing. Reels have slammed the world harder than you could ever imagine, and content creation has arguably become the most desired job. Life has changed in multiple folds, Priorities, worries, and I as a person, have changed in unimaginable lengths. I got 4 decent, or with all mode...

Bollywood: a 20 year old static journey

Since this is my first attempt at penning down "what's within my head", I'd like to speak about something that I can speak for hours and hours together: My aversion towards Bollywood.  Growing up in a typical Mallu household, I barely watched Hindi shows or anything close to Bollywood. the typical mallu dramas, reality shows, occasional series, and cartoons were the only things I watched TV for. I wouldn't say that back then the Malayalam screens, both big and small had much to offer, it was pretty much the same as the *present* Bollywood. However, on reaching teenage, I started watching Hindi shows, back then Channel V was king, and Bollywood. Songs with heavy dance beats, which literally were sung everywhere, as AIB in one of its videos said, " ab ye gana bajega, shaadiyo mei bajega, annual day pe bajega, aur mayyat pe bhi bajega", lol, was enough to hook a teenager to the whole Bollywood space. Talking about the movies, the same plots weren't disc...
